Welcome to our website,

My love of history reading, and research has led to a twenty year study of the historical accomplishments and contributions of African Americans. This knowledge was obtained by taking courses at Bennett College, Howard University, The American University , and Penn Valley Community College of Kansas City, Missouri.

Additional historical knowledge was obtained through independent research, traveling to historic sites, and through membership in historical associations. I have also written for two African American newspapers, The Washington Afro-American Newspaper (founded in 1862 in Washington D.C.) and the The Kansas City Globe.

Basic Black: Historical Consulting Service has provided exhibits and presentations for civic groups, churches, city government, educational institutions, and media entities. I am licensed by the city of Kansas City, Missouri and registered with the state of Missouri.
