SCIENCE

Picture
Sci-ence – noun – a systematic enterprise that creates, builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions.

Sciences are typically subdivided into the natural sciences which study the material world, the social sciences which study people and societies and formal sciences like mathematics.

We work with 6th, 7th and 8th grade students to increase logical reasoning, problem-solving and fundamental skill building to prepare students for high school success in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Life, Earth and Physical Sciences. We provide assistance with homework assignments and class projects, as well as a defined curriculum to aide in the understanding and practical application of science fundamentals.

We plan to cover aspects of science to augment the curriculum taught throughout the various school systems, topics include but are not limited to:
   - the ecological system
   - the periodic table
   - chemical vs physical reactions
   - physics (eg momentum and Rube Goldberg)

Methods to be used include:
   - memorization
   - games
   - simple quizzes

If you have a high school student that needs homework help, please let us know and we will work to identify a volunteer who can assist.
