VOLUNTEERS: The heart and soul of the W.E.B. DuBois Learning Center!

The Center relies on culturally competent and trauma-informed volunteers at the program level, as well as the operational level. Because role modeling is critical in and out of the classroom, we look for volunteers who have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to make healthy connections with students and adults. We also welcome volunteers to help support general operations including fund development, marketing, community relations, project and construction management, social media, and website management. ​

The W.E.B. DuBois Learning Center also accepts intern applications year-round via the volunteer application.

Steps to Volunteer Onboarding (For INDIVIDUAL Volunteers):

• Complete the

  Volunteer Form

  including Background Screening
• After assignment is made, complete orientation for your specific assignment
• Welcome aboard!
• Watch your student improve their academic performance!
